Updating Network Adapter Driver

In case you find this issue repeating over time, you can try to update your network adapter driver. It is possible that the adapter driver needs an update to work without a problem. In order to do that, you can try to find the network adapter manufacturer driver and install it at once. Other than that, you can also try to update it from the best driver updater. After the installation finishes, you can try to open a web page on your browser and see if it works.

If the error still persists, then you need to update the network adapter driver manually. In order to do that, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Open the Run box by pressing Windows and R buttons at the same time.

Step 2: Once the Run box appears, you can type devmgmt.msc in the search box and press Enter.

Step 3: Afterward, the Device Manager window will appear.

Step 4: Look for the option “Network adapters” and expand it.

Step 5: Afterward, find the option of Wi-Fi controllers, such as Broadcom or Intel, and right-click on it.

Step 6: Once the options appear, choose the option “Update Drivers”.

Step 7: Afterward, you can look for the option “Browse my computer for driver software“ and click on it.

Step 8: Then, choose the option “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer“.

Step 9: Update the drivers from the options listed and click Next. The updates will take some time until it finishes.

Reinstalling Network Adapter

Step 1: Open the Run box by pressing Windows and R buttons at the same time.

Step 2: Once the Run box appears, type in devmgmt.msc and press Enter.

Step 3: On the Device Manager window, locate the section “Network Adapters”.

Step 4: Expand the Network Adapters and find network adapter on your Windows PC.

Step 4: On the list of options, click on the option “Properties”.

Step 5: Look further down and untick the box next to “Microsoft network adapter multiplexor protocol”. In addition to that, you can untick the options related to Wifi sharing.

Modifying TCP/IPv4 Properties

In case the “no internet secured” Wifi error keeps happening, you can try to modify the IPV4 properties. Follow the steps to perform this method.

Step 1: Open the Run box by pressing Windows and R buttons at the same time.

Step 2: Once the Run box appears, you can type ncpa.cpl. Press Enter to continue.

Step 3: Find the option “Wireless Adapter” and right-click on it.

Step 4: On the list of options, select Properties.

Step 5: Then, locate the option “Internet Protocol 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and double-click on it.

Step 6: Check on the box marks next to these two options.

Step 7: Afterward, click the “Advanced” option and head to the WINS tab.

Step 8: Find the section titled “NetBIOS” and look under the setting. There, you will need to click on the option “Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP”.

Disabling IPv6 to Fix “No Internet Secured” Error

Step 1: Open the Run box by pressing Windows and R buttons at the same time.

Step 2: Once the Run box appears, then type the following command and press Enter.

control.exe /name Microsoft.NetworkAndSharingCenter

Step 3: Click on the current network your device is connected to, and open Settings.

Step 4: Head to the Properties option on the Wifi Status window.

Step 5: Afterward, untick the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).

  2. Once the Run box appears, type in ncpa.cpl and press Enter.

  4. Among the options presented, choose Properties.
  5. Make sure to check the following options on the Properties tab.
    • Client for Microsoft networks
    • File and printer sharing for Microsoft networks
    • Link-layer topology discovery mapper I/O driver
    • Internet protocol version 4, or TCP/IPv4
    • Internet protocol version 6, or TCP/IPv6
    • Link-layer topology discovery responder
    • Reliable Multicast Protocol
  6. Afterward, click Apply and OK to save the changes.
  7. At last, reboot the Windows PC and restart the Wifi router.

Changing the Properties of Power Management

Step 1: Launch the Run box by pressing Windows and R buttons at the same time.

Step 2: Once the Run box appears, type in devmgmt.msc and press Enter.

Step 3: Look for the option “Network adapters” and expand it.

Step 4: Proceed to locate the wireless network your device is connected to and double-click on it.

Step 5: Head to the Power Management tab.

Step 6: Untick the option “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.


Running the Network Troubleshooter to Get Rid of “No Internet Secured” Message

Step 1: Go to the Windows Settings and find the section “Update & Security”. Click on it.

Step 2: On the left-hand menu, choose the option “Troubleshoot”.

Step 3: Afterward, find the option “Internet Connections” and select it.

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

Step 3: Restart your Windows PC and check if you can open a web page again on your browser once it turns back on.
