Google reCAPTCHA started protecting the internet from bots over 10 years ago. iThemes Security Pro has been harnessing the power of Google reCAPTCHA to protect WordPress websites from bot attacks since 2014. And now, you can get the same bot busting protection on your LifterLMS site!
As a LifterLMS website owner, you can now add an extra layer of protection to their site’s logins, registrations, comments, and password resets. You can use the more traditional I am not a robot checkbox with Google reCAPTCHA version 2 or use the latest version 3 that watches for bot-like behavior without adding any user friction. Either way, the choice is yours.
To start using Google reCAPTCHA on your LifterLMS site, enable reCAPTCHA on the main page of the security settings.
In the reCAPTCHA settings, choose which version you want to use and then click the Google reCAPTCHA link. The link will redirect you to the Google reCAPTCHA website to generate your free site keys. Once you have your keys, just copy and paste them into your iThemes Security Pro settings.
Now all you need to do is decides where on your site you want to use Google reCAPTCHA.
Passwordless Logins
Passwordless login is a new way to verify a user’s identity without requiring a password to login. We took the idea of the Magic Links and evolved it into a new login method that allows you to require users to use strong passwords and two-factor authentication without ever entering a password or an extra authentication code.
To get started using Passwordless Logins on your LifterLMS website, enable the module on the main page of the security settings.
In the Passwordless Login settings, check the box to the Enable LifterLMS Integration.
And it is that easy! The next time you login, you will have the option to do so without ever entering a password.
